OMICORN: Symptoms;WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Warns
One of the symptoms that separates Omicron from other variations is back pain. Back pain is the initial sign of omicron, according to statistics from the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa.
The number of people affected by Omicron, the new variant
of COVID-19, is increasing. According to the earliest reports, the new COVID-19
form, Omicron, was more potent but did not create major health concerns in
individuals or necessitate medical treatment. But the World Health Organization
said yesterday that this was not the case.
Experts warn that Omicron should not be underestimated.
The Omicron variant is equally as deadly as the others. The World
Health Organization's Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, had
warned that a huge number of patients would need to be admitted to hospitals,
and that death rates would rise.
Namrata (32), a resident of Vikhroli, began
experiencing symptoms such as a sore throat, chills, and fever. Within a day,
she was in excruciating pain in her legs and back. "Every bone in my body
was hurting. More than paracetamol, I needed painkillers," She added that
the pain had subsided by the third day. Another Andheri resident claimed that
while standard fever medicine relieved her fever, but most of the other
symptoms, extreme discomfort in her lower back wasn't relieved, and it was
something she'd never experienced.
Most patients in Mumbai, according to experts, have a
low-grade fever and a headache. Fatigue and weakness might linger until the
seventh or eighth day in certain circumstances.
Meanwhile, a South African study on Omicron symptoms discovered that sore throats, congestion, dry cough, and lower back pain were among the most prevalent early symptoms, coupled with congestion, dry cough, and lower back discomfort.
