They claimed that the hair found in the fist of Cheri Jo Bates, one of the Zodiac’s victims, belonged to Poste. The Case Breakers requested that the Riverside Police Department compare the hair and skin found under the victim's fingernail with Poste's samples in a DNA.  They have also identified the scars on Poste’s forehead as matching those of the killer, as described by the witness who saw the killer.

The Case Breakers also claimed to have new material evidence, forensic proof, eye witnesses, and photographs to show that Poste had been the Zodiac Killer. However, none of these conclusions have been accepted by the police department or the FBI, as they are still investigating and the case is still not closed. The police have also turned down a request to test the DNA.

It's difficult to come to any conclusions right now. The Case Breakers have provided some compelling evidence in this case, proving Poste's identity as the Zodiac Killer. However, police will not be able to catch the killer as Gray Francis Poste died in 2018.
