Indian-Origin Travel Blogger Killed in a Shootout
Anjali Rayot, a 25-year-old
travel vlogger of Indian descent residing in California, USA, was killed in a
shootout between drug gangs in Mexico. In the shooting, a German national was
also killed.
On Wednesday night, a shooting took place at a
Caribbean coastal resort in Tulum. Anjali had arrived at the resort for her
birthday celebration. According to Spanish media, four individuals entered the
resort and started a fire while Anjali and others were dining.
According to officials, the shootout occurred as a part
of a conflict between two organized drug cartels. According to the report,
Anjali Rayot and his companions were simply bail victims.
Anjali last posted a video of herself strolling on the
beach on Instagram two days ago. Anjali was a travel blogger in addition to
being an engineer. She used to represent the beauty of tourist destinations in
the country and overseas.
Anjali's Instagram bio describes her as a Himachal
Pradesh travel blogger. San Jose, California is the permanent
address. Anjali formerly worked at Yahoo and has been a senior site
reliability engineer at LinkedIn since last July.
